The history of Adam Durbin

About Me.

I Race Bikes and encourage the public to ride a bicycle.

Racing remains an important part of my life. It helps me keep focussed and increases my skill level. There are so many reasons I ride, but one of the main reasons is the sense of freedom I feel when ripping down the mountain.

My name is Adam Durbin and I was born in the year 2000. Y2K.

I Started racing BMX when I was 6 years old, and continued until the year 2016. I raced Local, State, National and a few International BMX Races. I won 2 California State Championships, and represented Team USA in England and Belgium at the UCI BMX World Championships.

In 2016 I entered my first Downhill MTB race in Fontana, CA. I was hooked on racing Downhill from that point on.

In 2019 I was able to win 2 USA Cycling National MTB Championships. I won the USA Cycling Dual Slalom Title – CAT1 – 19-29, then a couple days later was able to win the USA Cycling Downhill Title in CAT1 – 19-24.

I’ll be starting a new chapter for 2020-2021, as I have turned Pro. I raced my first Pro Downhill race at Big Bear, CA and placed 7th out of 18 riders. I have received a Cycling Scholarship to Lindsey Wilson College, and have just moved to Columbia, Kentucky to Race Downhill and Dual Slalom for them, and get Business Degree in the process.

2019 Sea Otter Classic - Dual Slalom Champion

The un-official World Championship of Dual Slalom is Sea Otter. The course was built with some real challenge flat turns at the bottom. I had some really good gates and put together solid runs for the win.

2019 USA Cycling Downhill National Champion

By far the most surprising Win of the year. I really expected the Dual Slalom win, but not the Downhill. I had a killer run and gave it all I had, to come out on the top of the Podium. Downhill National Champion.

2019 USA Cycling Dual Slalom National Champion

10 years of racing BMX at the national level has paid off in Dual Slalom. I loved the track as practice started, and couldn’t wait  to get down to racing. I got to battle with a good friend Cole in the Finals. Stoked for the win!
